Improv Night with AME Lounge

Improv Night with AME Lounge

Get ready for an evening of big laughs, quick wit and unforgettable moments!

Join AME Lounge for a one-of-a-kind live improv comedy experience featuring two of Toronto's accomplished improvisers, comedians and actors: Steve Hobbs and Ted Hallett.

Steve Hobbs is a graduate of The Second City Sketch Conservatory and Longform Improv programs. His comedy career has taken him to festivals across North America, and he's appeared in hit productions including FX's What We Do in the Shadows, FX's Mrs. America and Disney's Out of My Mind. He's also a published comedy writer whose work has appeared with The Beaverton, CBC Punchline, Second City Network and more.

Joining Steve is Toronto improviser and writer Ted Hallett, who has been performing for more than 20 years. Trained by Lisa Merchant at The Second City Training Centre, Ted performs regularly at The Second City's John Candy Box Theatre, leads improv workshops throughout Toronto, and performs alongside Steve in the acclaimed improv duo Hallett and Hobbs.

Together they'll create an evening of completely unscripted comedy inspired by audience suggestions. Every scene is made up on the spot, which means no two shows are ever the same!

The evening wraps up with an optional audience participation session where anyone feeling adventurous can join the performers on stage for a few fun improv games. No experience is necessary, and participation is completely voluntary. If you'd rather sit back and enjoy the show, that's perfectly okay too!

Whether you're coming with friends or attending on your own, Improv Night is all about laughter, connection and trying something a little different in a welcoming, supportive atmosphere.
